Stop the Next Pandemic Before It Starts! Tell Congress to Pass the Viral Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium Act

Evidence of genetic engineering is written all over SARS-CoV-2.

In January 2020, when scientists examined the genome of SARS-CoV-2 it was immediately clear that the unique feature that made it “100 to 1,000 times” more infectious than the first SARS was something that couldn’t have been achieved through natural recombination

The genetic code of SARS-CoV-2 bore a tell-tale sign that it had been engineered in the lab. This was obvious to every scientist who looked at the virus, even those who later published articles claiming the virus wasn’t engineered.

Stop the next pandemic before it starts! Tell Congress to pass the Viral Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium Act.

If you’ve read Ronnie Cummins and Dr. Joseph Mercola’s The Truth About COVID-19, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s The Real Anthony Fauci, you know better than to believe the story we were initially told about the origins of COVID-19 that the virus “lept” from wild animals to humans in a Wuhan wet market.

That fraud became apparent as soon as the public became aware of the eerily predictive pandemic planning exercise Event 201, hosted by the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the so-called “gain-of-function” bioweapons research on coronaviruses funded by the U.S. government, some involving contributions from Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

In his startling Fauci Dossier, Dr. David E. Martin, one of the experts interviewed in the Plandemic documentary series, revealed that the University of North Carolina’s Dr. Ralph Baric had patented his NIH-funded method of producing an “infectious, replication defective, coronavirus” “before SARS was ever detected in humans.”

It would be nice to think that Baric was ignorant of the biological weapons potential of his gain-of-function research or the money-making opportunities in a global pandemic, but it’s clear he was in-the-know on both ends.

Baric is the author of what can only be described as a how-to-manual for bioweapons enthusiasts. He filed that pre-SARS coronavirus patent with a military scientist from the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick, Kristopher M. Curtis.

Prior to the pandemic, Baric worked on Remdesivir and MK-4482 (Molnupiravir). On December 12, 2019, before public announcement of coronavirus cases in Wuhan on January 9, 2020, Baric received “mRNA coronavirus vaccine candidates” from Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Moderna.

Did Ralph Baric engineer SARS-Cov-2?

Congress should compare SARS-CoV-2 to SHC014-MA15, the SARS-like coronavirus engineered by Ralph Baric in his infamous gain-of-function experiments published in the 2015 paper, “A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence.”

We have to take Baric’s word for it that SARS-CoV-2 isn’t strikingly similar to SHC014-MA15, because he didn’t deposit the sequence of SHC014-MA15 in GenBank until May 22, 2020! (And, when he did, he misnamed it SHC015-MA15.)

How do we know that SARS-CoV-2 isn’t Baric’s SHC014-MA15?

Is there any way to check Baric’s work? Are there physical samples of SHC014-MA15 that can be reexamined? Are there lab notes contemporaneous with its creation? Did Baric share the virus or its sequence with other scientists prior to May 22, 2020?

These are questions Congress must answer.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee Minority Staff, under the leadership of Ranking Member Michael McCaul, summarized Baric’s experiment in their August 2021 report, “The Origins of COVID-19: An Investigation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology” (but didn’t note that Baric had kept the sequence of his infamous virus secret until May 2020):

In other words, they removed the spike protein from SHC014 and inserted it into a SARS coronavirus that was genetically manipulated to better infect mice. This work was done under BSL-3 conditions. The newly created virus was then shown to bind to ACE2 in humans, replicate “efficiently” in primary human airways cells, and withstand antibodies and vaccines. Researchers concluded that the work “suggests a potential risk of SARS-CoV re-emergence from viruses currently circulating in bat populations.”

A subsequent report, “An Analysis of the Origins of the COVID-19 Pandemic” by Baric’s Senator Richard Burr makes a glaring omission of the North Carolina scientist and his work.

A newly released report, “Muddy Waters” for Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., also omits Baric’s name and mentions his infamous 2015 paper only in passing.

The lead author on “Muddy Waters” is Robert Kadlec who journalist Whitney Webb exposed in her “Engineering Contagion” series as the “Head of the Hydra,” the “man in Washington” for a “powerful network of political operatives [and] a global vaccine mafia.”

It is clear that the military-pharmaceutical-industrial complex has tremendous resources. Prior to the pandemic, spending on “emerging infectious diseases” (code for gain-of-function research) at the National Institutes of Health ranged from $1.8 to $3.1 billion per year, while the black budget for CIA and Pentagon covert action is approaching $90 billion a year.

Ultimately, what we learn about the origins of COVID-19 is less important than what we do about it.

Congressman Michael McCaul’s August 2021 report, “The Origins of COVID-19: An Investigation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology” correctly states:

[T]here is legislation Congress can pass that would not only hold those responsible accountable but also help to prevent a future pandemic, including but not limited to:

Institute a ban on conducting and funding any work that includes gain-of-function research until an international and legally binding standard is set, and only where that standard is verifiably being followed.

And, despite the report prepared for him by Robert Kadlec, which blames China while exculpating the U.S. biological weapons establishment and pharmaceutical industry, Senator Marshall has introduced the “Viral Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium Act” which would prohibit federal grants to research institutes conducting gain-of-function research that could confer enhanced pathogenicity or transmissibility to influenza, MERS, or SARS viruses, and other risky research on potential pandemic pathogens.

Americans agree. Nearly 70,000 people have signed this petition to ban gain-of-function research.

Stop the next pandemic before it starts! Tell Congress to pass the Viral Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium Act.

Dear [Member of Congress]

I am one of the nearly 70,000 Americans who have signed the Organic Consumers Association’s Stop Weaponizing Pathogens campaign petition to ban gain-of-function research. You can read the petition and see the latest number of signers here:

https://advocacy.organicconsumers.org/page/18957/petition/1

Please contact Alexis Baden-Mayer, political director of the Organic Consumers Association, at [email protected], to receive a list of the signers in your state or district.

I support the Viral Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium Act.

Ultimately, the Biological Weapons Convention and the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989 must be enforced.

This is a tall order, because elements of the U.S. government are in violation.

U.S.-funded research is implicated in the origins of the pandemic.

The U.S. Agency for International Development funded virus hunts in China.

The National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Pentagon funded scientist Ralph Baric to take raw materials from these virus hunts and engineer lab-created viruses that are suspiciously similar to SARS-CoV-2.

When Baric published his coronavirus work in 2015, he admitted that it ran afoul of the federal moratorium on gain-of-function research, a euphemism for biological weapons research that violates the Biological Weapons Convention.

To stop the next pandemic before it starts, we must end the laboratory creation of potential pandemic pathogens.

Please pass the Viral Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium Act.
